6 Ngunit kapag mananalangin ka, pumasok ka sa iyong silid at isara mo ang pinto. Saka ka manalangin sa iyong Ama na hindi mo nakikita, at ang iyong Ama na nakakakita ng ginagawa mo nang lihim ang siyang magbibigay sa iyo ng gantimpala.
7 “Sa(A) pananalangin ninyo'y huwag kayong gagamit ng maraming salitang walang kabuluhan, gaya ng ginagawa ng mga Hentil. Ang akala nila'y papakinggan sila ng Diyos dahil sa haba ng kanilang sinasabi. 8 Huwag ninyo silang tutularan. Alam na ng inyong Ama na nasa langit ang inyong kailangan bago pa ninyo ito hingin sa kanya.

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father,(A) who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling(B) like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.(C) 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need(D) before you ask him.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
