^18 (A)And as He was getting into the boat, the man who had been ^(B)demon-possessed was pleading with Him that he might ^[a]accompany Him. ¹⁹ And He did not let him, but He *said to him, “^(C)Go home to your people and report to them ^[b]what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you.” ²⁰ And he went away and began to ^(D)preach in the ^(E)Decapolis ^[c]what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was marveling.

^38 (A)But the man from whom the demons had gone out was begging Him that he might ^[a]accompany Him. But He sent him away, saying, ³⁹ “Return to your house and recount what great things God has done for you.” So he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
