Preaching in Galilee

³⁵ Very^(A) early in the morning, while it was still dark, he got up, went out, and made his way to a deserted place;^(B) and there he was praying.^{(C) 36} Simon^(D) and his companions searched for him, ³⁷ and when they found him they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

³⁸ And he said to them, “Let’s go on to the neighboring villages so that I may preach^(E) there too. This is why I have come.”

A Man Cleansed

³⁹ He went into all of Galilee,^(F) preaching in their synagogues^(G) and driving out demons.

⁴² When it was day, he went out and made his way to a deserted place.^(A) But the crowds were searching for him. They came to him and tried to keep him from leaving them. ⁴³ But he said to them, “It is necessary for me to proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.” ⁴⁴ And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.^[a](B)
