4 "Sepse ja, dita po vjen, e zjarrtë si një furrë; dhe të gjithë ata që veprojnë me pabesi do të jenë si kallamishtet; dita që po vjen do t’i djegë," thotë Zoti i ushtrive, "në mënyrë të tillë që të mos u mbetet as rrënja as dega.
2 Por për ju që keni frikë nga emri im, do të lindë dielli i drejtësisë me shërimin në krahët e tij, dhe ju do të dilni dhe do të hidheni si viçat që dalin nga stalla.
3 Do t’i shkelni me këmbë të pabesët, sepse do të jenë hi nën tabanin e këmbëve tuaja gjatë ditës që unë po përgatis," thotë Zoti i ushtrive.
4 "Mbani mend ligjin e Moisiut, shërbëtorit tim, të cilit në Horeb i urdhërova statutet dhe dekretet për mbarë Izraelin.
5 Ja, unë do t’ju dërgoj Elian, profetin, para se të vijë dita e madhe dhe e llahtarshme e Zotit.
6 Ai do të bëjë që zemra e etërve t’u kthehet bijve dhe zemra e bijve etërve, me qëllim që vendi të mos goditet nga një shfarosje e plotë.?

4 [a] “For look! The day is about to come, burning like an oven, and all the arrogant and every evildoer[b] will be stubble. The coming day will consume[c] them,” says Yahweh of hosts. “It will not leave behind for them root or branch. 2 But for you who revere[d] my name, the sun of righteousness will rise, with healing in its wings, and you will go out and leap like fattened calves.[e] 3 You will trample down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I am going to act,” says Yahweh of hosts.
4 “Remember the instruction[f] of my servant Moses, which I commanded him at Horeb to all Israel, the rules and regulations. 5 Look! I am going to send to you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yahweh! 6 And he will bring back[g] the hearts of the fathers to the sons, and the hearts of the sons to their fathers, so that I will not come and strike the land with a ban.”
