العَثَرَاتُ وَالمُسَامَحَة

(مَتَّى 18‏:6‏-7، 21‏-22؛ مَرْقُس 9‏:42)

17 وَقَالَ يَسُوعُ لِتَلَامِيذِهِ: «لَا مَفَرَّ مِنْ حُدُوثِ العَثَرَاتِ، لَكِنْ وَيْلٌ لِذَلِكَ الإنْسَانِ الَّذِي تَأْتِي العَثَرَاتُ بِسَبَبِهِ! سَيَكُونُ أفْضَلَ لَهُ لَوْ أنَّ حَجَرَ الرَّحَى وُضِعَ حَوْلَ رَقَبَتِهِ، وَأُلقِيَ بِهِ فِي البَحْرِ، مِنْ أنْ يُوقِعَ أحَدَ هَؤُلَاءِ الصِّغَارِ فِي الخَطِيَّةِ.

17 Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble(A) are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.(B) It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones(C) to stumble.(D)
