25 Khi ấy một luật sư đứng dậy hỏi để thử Ðức Chúa Jesus, “Thưa Thầy, tôi phải làm gì để được hưởng sự sống đời đời?”
26 Ngài hỏi lại ông, “Trong Luật Pháp có chép những gì? Ngươi đọc và thấy những gì?”
27 Ông đáp, “Ngươi phải hết lòng, hết linh hồn, hết sức, và hết trí mà yêu kính Chúa là Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, và ngươi phải yêu người lân cận như mình.”
28 Ngài nói với ông, “Ngươi đáp đúng lắm. Hãy làm như thế thì ngươi sẽ sống.”

The Parable of the Good Samaritan(A)
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”(B)
26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a];(C) and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”(D)
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”(E)
