The healing of the centurion’s servant

When Jesus had finished saying all these words in the hearing of the people, he went into Capernaum.

There was a centurion who had a slave who was particularly precious to him. This slave was ill, at the point of death. The centurion heard about Jesus, and sent some Jewish elders to him, to ask him to come and rescue his slave.

Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

Jesus Heals a Centurion's Servant

After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, (A)he entered Capernaum. Now a centurion had a servant[a] who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him. When the centurion[b] heard about Jesus, (B)he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant.
