⁵² Then Jesus said to the chief priests and ^(A)officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?

⁴ He went away and conferred with the chief priests and ^(A)officers how he might betray him to them.

²⁶ Then ^(A)the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for ^(B)they were afraid of being stoned by the people.

^12 (A)While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have ^(B)guarded them, and ^(C)not one of them has been lost except ^(D)the son of destruction, ^(E)that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

⁴⁸ And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? ^49 (A)Day after day I was with you in the temple ^(B)teaching, and you did not seize me. But ^(C)let the Scriptures be fulfilled.”

¹⁵ Then Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains who were set over the army, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to death with the sword anyone who follows her.” For the priest said, “Let her not be put to death in the house of the Lord.”
