34 María replicó al ángel:
— Yo no tengo relaciones conyugales con nadie; ¿cómo, pues, podrá sucederme esto?
35 El ángel le contestó:
— El Espíritu Santo vendrá sobre ti y el poder del Dios Altísimo te envolverá. Por eso, el niño que ha de nacer será santo, será Hijo de Dios. 36 Mira, si no, a Elisabet, tu parienta: también ella va a tener un hijo en su ancianidad; la que consideraban estéril, está ya de seis meses, 37 porque para Dios no hay nada imposible.

34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you,(A) and the power of the Most High(B) will overshadow you. So the holy one(C) to be born will be called[a] the Son of God.(D) 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child(E) in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”(F)
