15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will (A)drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit [a]while yet in his mother’s womb. 16 And he will (B)turn many of the sons of Israel back to the Lord their God. 17 It is he who will (C)go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of (D)Elijah, (E)to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to (F)make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

He is never to take wine or other fermented drink,(A) and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit(B) even before he is born.(C) 16 He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he will go on before the Lord,(D) in the spirit and power of Elijah,(E) to turn the hearts of the parents to their children(F) and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”(G)

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
