15 Or tutti i Pubblicani e i peccatori, si accostavano a lui per udirlo.
2 E i farisei e gli scribi mormoravano, dicendo: «Costui accoglie i peccatori e mangia con loro».
3 Allora egli disse loro questa parabola:
4 «Qual uomo fra voi, se ha cento pecore e ne perde una, non lascia le novantanove nel deserto e non va dietro alla perduta finché non la ritrova?
5 E quando la ritrova, se la mette sulle spalle tutto contento;
6 e, giunto a casa, convoca gli amici e i vicini e dice loro: "Rallegratevi con me perché ho ritrovato la mia pecora che era perduta
7 Io vi dico che allo stesso modo vi sarà in cielo piú gioia per un solo peccatore che si ravvede, che per novantanove giusti che non hanno bisogno di ravvedimento.
8 O quale donna, se ha dieci dramme, e ne perde una, non accende la lampada, non spazza la casa e non cerca accuratamente finché non la ritrova?
9 E quando l'ha trovata, chiama insieme le amiche e le vicine, dicendo: "Rallegratevi con me, perché ho ritrovato la dramma che avevo perduta".
10 Allo stesso modo vi dico, vi sarà gioia presso gli angeli di Dio per un solo peccatore che si ravvede».
11 Disse ancora: «Un uomo aveva due figli.
12 Il piú giovane di loro disse al padre: "Padre, dammi la parte dei beni che mi spetta". E il padre divise fra loro i beni.
13 Pochi giorni dopo il figlio piú giovane, raccolta ogni cosa, se ne andò in un paese lontano e là dissipò le sue sostanze vivendo dissolutamente.
14 Ma quando ebbe speso tutto, in quel paese sopraggiunse una grave carestia ed egli cominciò ad essere nel bisogno.
15 Allora andò a mettersi con uno degli abitanti di quel paese, che lo mandò nei suoi campi a pascolare i porci.
16 Ed egli desiderava riempire il ventre con le carrube che i porci mangiavano, ma nessuno gliene dava.
17 Allora, rientrato in sé, disse: "Quanti lavoratori salariati di mio padre hanno pane in abbondanza, io invece muoio di fame!
18 Mi leverò e andrò da mio padre, e gli dirò: Padre, ho peccato contro il cielo e davanti a te
19 non sono piú degno di essere chiamato tuo figlio; trattami come uno dei tuoi lavoratori salariati
20 Egli dunque si levò e andò da suo padre. Ma mentre era ancora lontano, suo padre lo vide e ne ebbe compassione; corse, gli si gettò al collo e lo baciò.
21 E il figlio gli disse: "Padre, ho peccato contro il cielo e davanti a te e non sono piú degno di essere chiamato tuo figlio".
22 Ma il padre disse ai suoi servi: "Portate qui la veste piú bella e rivestitelo, mettetegli un anello al dito e dei sandali ai piedi.
23 Portate fuori il vitello ingrassato e ammazzatelo; mangiamo e rallegriamoci,
24 perché questo mio figlio era morto ed è tornato in vita, era perduto ed è stato ritrovato". E si misero a fare grande festa.
25 Or il suo figlio maggiore era nei campi; e come ritornava e giunse vicino a casa, udí la musica e le danze.
26 Chiamato allora un servo, gli domandò cosa fosse tutto ciò.
27 E quello gli disse: "E' tornato tuo fratello e tuo padre ha ammazzato il vitello ingrassato, perché lo ha riavuto sano salvo".
28 Udito ciò, egli si adirò e non volle entrare; allora suo padre uscí e lo pregava di entrare.
29 Ma egli, rispose al padre e disse: "Ecco, son già tanti anni che io ti servo e non ho mai trasgredito alcun tuo comandamento, eppure non mi hai mai dato un capretto per far festa con i miei amici.
30 Ma quando è tornato questo tuo figlio, che ha divorato i tuoi beni con le meretrici, tu hai ammazzato per lui il vitello ingrassato
31 Allora il padre gli disse: "Figlio, tu sei sempre con me, e ogni cosa mia è tua.
32 Ma si doveva fare festa e rallegrarsi perché questo tuo fratello era morto ed è tornato in vita, era perduto ed è stato ritrovato"».

15 وَكَانَ كُلُّ جَامِعِي الضَّرَائِبِ وَالخُطَاةِ مُعتَادِينَ عَلَى التَّجَمُّعِ حَوْلَ يَسُوعَ لِيَسْمَعُوهُ. 2 فَبَدَأ الفِرِّيسِيُّونَ وَمُعَلِّمُو الشَّرِيعَةِ يَتَذَمَّرُونَ وَيَقُولُونَ: «هَذَا الرَّجُلُ يُرَحِّبُ بِالخُطَاةِ وَيَأْكُلُ مَعَهُمْ!»
3 فَرَوَى لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ هَذَا المَثَلَ: 4 «لِنَفتَرِضْ أنَّهُ كَانَ لِأحَدِكُمْ مِئَةُ خَرُوفٍ فَأضَاعَ وَاحِدًا مِنْهَا، أفَلَا يَتْرُكُ التِّسعَةَ وَالتِّسعِينَ البَاقِيَةَ فِي الحُقُولِ وَيَذْهَبُ وَرَاءَ الخَرُوفِ الضَّائِعِ حَتَّى يَجِدَهُ؟ 5 وَعِنْدَمَا يَجِدُهُ، فَإنَّهُ يَضَعُهُ عَلَى كَتِفَيهِ فَرِحًا. 6 وَعِنْدَمَا يَأتِي إلَى البَيْتِ، يَدْعُو الأصْحَابَ وَالجِيرَانَ مَعًا، وَيَقُولُ لَهُمْ: ‹ابتَهِجُوا مَعِي. فَقَدْ وَجَدتُ خَرُوفِيَ الضَّائِعَ!› 7 أقُولُ لَكُمْ، هَكَذَا تَفْرَحُ السَّمَاءُ بِخَاطِئٍ وَاحِدٍ يَتُوبُ أكْثَرَ مِمَّا تَفْرَحُ بِتِسْعَةٍ وَتِسْعِينَ بَارًّا لَا يَحتَاجُونَ إلَى التَّوبَةِ.»

8 «أوْ لِنَفتَرِضْ أنَّ لِامْرَأةٍ عَشْرَةَ دَنَانيرَ،[a] فَأضَاعَتْ دِينَارًا وَاحِدًا مِنْهَا. أفَلَا تُشعِلُ مِصبَاحًا وَتُكَنِّسُ البَيْتَ وَتَبْحَثُ عَنْهُ بِتَدْقِيقٍ حَتَّى تَجِدَهُ؟ 9 وَعِنْدَمَا تَجِدُهُ، فَإنَّهَا تَدْعُو صَدِيقَاتِهَا وَجَارَاتِهَا مَعًا، وَتَقُولُ لَهُنَّ: ‹ابتَهِجْنَ مَعِي، فَقَدْ وَجَدتُ الدِّينَارَ الَّذِي أضَعتُهُ!› 10 أقُولُ لَكُمْ إنَّهُ هَكَذَا يَكُونُ فَرَحٌ أمَامَ مَلَائِكَةِ اللهِ بِخَاطِئٍ وَاحِدٍ يَتُوبُ.»
مَثَلُ الابْنِ الضَّالّ
11 ثُمَّ قَالَ يَسُوعُ: «كَانَ لِرَجُلٍ ابنَانِ، 12 فَقَالَ أصغَرُهُمَا لِأبِيهِ: ‹يَا أبِي، أعْطِنِي نَصِيبِي مِنْ أمْلَاكِكَ.› فَقَسَّمَ الأبُ ثَروَتَهُ بَيْنَ ابنَيهِ.
13 «وَلَمْ تَمْضِ أيَّامٌ كَثِيرَةٌ حَتَّى جَمَعَ الابْنُ الأصغَرُ كُلَّ مَا يَخُصُّهُ وَسَافَرَ إلَى بَلَدٍ بَعِيدٍ. وَهُنَاكَ بَدَّدَ كُلَّ مَالِهِ فِي حَيَاةٍ مُسْتَهْتِرَةٍ. 14 وَبَعْدَ أنْ صَرَفَ كُلَّ مَا مَعَهُ، أصَابَتْ مَجَاعَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ ذَلِكَ البَلَدَ فَابْتَدَأ يَحتَاجُ. 15 فَذَهَبَ وَعَمِلَ لَدَى وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أهْلِ ذَلِكَ البَلَدِ، فَأرسَلَهُ إلَى حُقُولِهِ لِيَرْعَى الخَنَازِيرَ. 16 وَكَانَ يَتَمَنَّى لَوْ أنَّهُ يَسْتَطِيعُ أنْ يُشبِعَ نَفْسَهُ مِنْ نَبَاتِ الخَرُّوبِ الَّذِي كَانَتِ الخَنَازِيرُ تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ، لَكِنَّ أحَدًا لَمْ يُعطِهِ شَيْئًا.
17 «فَعَادَ إلَى رُشدِهِ وَقَالَ: ‹كَمْ مِنْ أجِيرٍ عِنْدَ أبِي يَشْبَعُ وَيَفْضُلُ عَنْهُ الطَّعَامُ، أمَّا أنَا فَأتَضَوَّرُ جُوعًا هُنَا! 18 سَأقُومُ وَاذْهَبُ إلَى أبِي وَأقُولُ لَهُ: يَا أبِي، لَقَدْ أخْطَأتُ إلَى اللهِ وَإلَيكَ، 19 وَلَمْ أعُدْ جَدِيرًا بِأنْ أُدعَى ابنًا لَكَ، فَاجعَلْنِي كَوَاحِدٍ مِنَ العَامِلِينَ لَدَيكَ.› 20 ثُمَّ قَامَ وَذَهَبَ إلَى أبِيهِ.
عَودَةُ الابْنِ الضَّال
«وَبَيْنَمَا كَانَ مَا يَزَالُ بَعِيدًا، رَآهُ أبُوهُ، فَامتَلأ حَنَانًا، وَرَكَضَ إلَيْهِ، وَضَمَّهُ بِذِرَاعَيهِ، وَقَبَّلَهُ. 21 فَقَالَ الابْنُ: ‹يَا أبِي، أخْطَأتُ إلَى اللهِ وَإلَيكَ. وَأنَا لَمْ أعُدْ جَدِيرًا بِأنْ أُدعَى ابنًا لَكَ.›
22 «غَيْرَ أنَّ الأبَ قَالَ لِعَبِيدِهِ: ‹هَيَّا! أحضِرُوا أفْضَلَ ثَوبٍ وَألبِسُوهُ إيَّاهُ، وَضَعُوا خَاتَمًا فِي يَدِهِ وَحِذَاءً فِي قَدَمَيهِ. 23 وَأحضِرُوا العِجلَ المُسَمَّنَ، وَاذْبَحُوهُ ودَعُونَا نَأكُلُ وَنَحتَفِلُ! 24 لِأنَّ ابنِي هَذَا كَانَ مَيِّتًا فَعَادَ إلَى الحَيَاةِ، وَكَانَ ضَالًّا فَوَجَدتُهُ.› فَبَدَأُوا يَبْتَهِجُونَ وَيَحْتَفِلُونَ.
الابْنُ الأكبَر
25 «أمَّا الابْنُ الأكبَرُ فَكَانَ فِي الحَقْلِ. وَعِنْدَمَا جَاءَ وَاقْتَرَبَ مِنَ البَيْتِ سَمِعَ صَوْتَ مُوسِيقَى وَرَقصٍ. 26 فَدَعَى وَاحِدًا مِنَ الخُدَّامِ وَسَألَهُ عَمَّا يَجْرِي. 27 فَقَالَ لَهُ الخَادِمُ: ‹رَجِعَ أخُوكَ، فَذَبَحَ أبُوكَ العِجلَ المُسَمَّنَ لِأنَّهُ عَادَ سَلِيمًا مُعَافَىً.›
28 «فَغَضِبَ الابْنُ الأكبَرُ وَلَمْ يَقْبَلْ أنْ يَدْخُلَ. فَخَرجَ أبُوهُ يَطْلُبُ إلَيْهِ الدُّخُولَ. 29 فَقَالَ لِأبِيهِ: ‹لَقَدْ عَمِلْتُ بِجِدٍّ عِنْدَكَ كُلَّ هَذِهِ السَّنَوَاتِ، وَلَمْ أعْصِ لَكَ أمْرًا. لَكِنَّكَ لَمْ تُعطِنِي حَتَّى جَديًا لِكَي أحتَفِلَ مَعَ أصدِقَائِي! 30 وَعِنْدَمَا جَاءَ ابْنُكَ هَذَا، الَّذِي بَدَّدَ أموَالَكَ عَلَى السَّاقِطَاتِ، ذَبَحتَ العِجلَ المُسَمَّنَ مِنْ أجْلِهِ!›
31 «فَقَالَ لَهُ الأبُ: ‹يَا بُنَيَّ، أنْتَ دَائِمًا مَعِي، وَكُلُّ مَا أملُكُهُ هُوَ لَكَ. 32 لَكِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ أنْ نَحتَفِلَ وَنَفرَحَ، لِأنَّ أخَاكَ هَذَا كَانَ مَيِّتًا فَعَادَ إلَى الحَيَاةِ، وَكَانَ ضَالًّا فَوُجِدَ.›»

The Parable of the Lost Sheep(A)
15 Now the tax collectors(B) and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”(C)
3 Then Jesus told them this parable:(D) 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?(E) 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’(F) 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.(G)
The Parable of the Lost Coin
8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’(H) 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”(I)
The Parable of the Lost Son
11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons.(J) 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’(K) So he divided his property(L) between them.
13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth(M) in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.(N) 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned(O) against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.(P)
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.(Q) I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe(R) and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger(S) and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again;(T) he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.(U)
25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
28 “The older brother became angry(V) and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property(W) with prostitutes(X) comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”(Y)
