⁸Kahit na ang bayan ay tinakot ng ibang kasama natin, buong katapatan pa rin akong sumunod kay Yahweh na ating Diyos. ⁹Kaya't^(A) ipinangako sa akin noon ni Moises na dahil sa aking buong katapatan sa pagsunod kay Yahweh, magiging bahagi ko at ng aking mga anak ang lupang matapakan ng aking mga paa. ¹⁰Apatnapu't limang taon na ang lumipas buhat nang sabihin ito ni Yahweh kay Moises. Noo'y naglalakbay pa sa disyerto ang bayang Israel. Iningatan ni Yahweh ang buhay ko hanggang ngayon. Walumpu't limang taon na ako ngayon

Joshua 14:8-10

New International Version

⁸but my fellow Israelites who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt in fear.^(A) I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.^(B) ⁹So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance^(C) and that of your children^(D) forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.’^[a]

¹⁰“Now then, just as the Lord promised,^(E) he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved^(F) about in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old!^(G)
