26 Por aquellos días Josué lanzó una maldición. Dijo así:
«Maldito sea delante del Señor cualquiera que se atreva a reconstruir esta ciudad de Jericó. Sobre su hijo primogénito echará los cimientos, y sobre su hijo menor construirá las puertas.»(A)
27 Y el Señor estaba con Josué, y su fama se extendió por toda la tierra.

26 At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:(A) “Cursed(B) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:
“At the cost of his firstborn son
he will lay its foundations;
at the cost of his youngest
he will set up its gates.”(C)
27 So the Lord was with Joshua,(D) and his fame spread(E) throughout the land.
