26 En ese momento Josué hizo este juramento:

«Que el SEÑOR maldiga
    al que intente reconstruir la ciudad de Jericó.
Que a costa de la vida de su hijo mayor
    eche los cimientos,
y a costa de la vida de su hijo menor[a]
    restaure sus puertas».

27 Así el SEÑOR estaba con Josué, y su reputación se difundió por toda la tierra.

26 At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:(A) “Cursed(B) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:

“At the cost of his firstborn son
    he will lay its foundations;
at the cost of his youngest
    he will set up its gates.”(C)

27 So the Lord was with Joshua,(D) and his fame spread(E) throughout the land.
