18 Be sure to stay away from these things that He has devoted to complete destruction so that you won’t be tempted to pick something up and carry it away. Anyone who disobeys God in this matter will bring destruction on all of us.

19 Any silver or gold, any bronze or iron vessels should not be burned; instead, they should be set aside for the Eternal’s treasury.

20 Then the people shouted, and the trumpets blasted. The noise of the voices and trumpets rose higher and higher, and the thick walls of Jericho collapsed, just as God had promised. When the wall fell before them, they rushed straight ahead and took the city,

18 But keep away from the devoted things,(A) so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction(B) and bring trouble(C) on it. 19 All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron(D) are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.”

20 When the trumpets sounded,(E) the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout,(F) the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.(G)

18 And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.

19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the Lord: they shall come into the treasury of the Lord.

20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
