3 吩咐人民说：“你们看见耶和华你们的 神的约柜，又看见抬约柜的利未支派的祭司的时候，就要从你们所住的地方出发，跟在约柜后面走。 4 只是你们和约柜之间应有一段距离，相隔约一公里，不可走近约柜，好使你们知道你们应走的路，因为这条路你们以前没有走过。”
5 约书亚对人民说：“你们要自洁，因为明天耶和华要在你们中间行奇事。” 6 约书亚又吩咐祭司说：“你们要抬起约柜，在人民前面过河去。”于是他们抬起约柜，走在人民的前面。

Joshua 3:3-6
New International Version
3 giving orders to the people: “When you see the ark of the covenant(A) of the Lord your God, and the Levitical(B) priests(C) carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. 4 Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits[a](D) between you and the ark; do not go near it.”
5 Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves,(E) for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things(F) among you.”
6 Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people.” So they took it up and went ahead of them.
