Ang Panalangin ni Jonas
2 Habang si Jonas ay nasa tiyan ng isda, nanalangin siya ng ganito:
2 “Yahweh, nang ako'y nasa kagipitan, nanalangin ako sa inyo,
at sinagot ninyo ako.
Mula sa daigdig ng mga patay
ako'y tumawag sa inyo, at dininig ninyo ako.
3 Itinapon ninyo ako sa kalaliman;
sa pusod ng karagatan.
Nabalot ako ng malakas na agos ng tubig,
at malalaking alon ang sa akin ay tumabon.
4 Akala ko'y malayo na ako sa inyo,
at hindi ko na kailanman makikitang muli ang banal mong Templo.
5 Hinigop ako ng kalaliman,
hanggang sa tuluyang lumubog;
napuluputan ang aking ulo ng mga halamang dagat.
6 Ako'y bumabâ sa paanan ng mga bundok,
sa libingan ng mga patay.
Ngunit mula roo'y buháy akong iniahon, O Yahweh.
7 Nang maramdaman kong malalagot na ang aking hininga,
naalala ko kayo, Yahweh. Ako'y nanalangin,
at mula sa banal ninyong Templo, ako'y inyong narinig.
8 Ang mga sumasamba sa mga diyus-diyosan
ay hindi naging tapat sa inyo.
9 Ngunit aawit ako ng pasasalamat
at sa inyo'y maghahandog;
tutuparin ko ang aking mga pangako,
O Yahweh na aking Tagapagligtas!”
10 Pagkatapos, inutusan ni Yahweh ang isda na iluwa si Jonas sa dalampasigan.

Ang panalangin ni Jonas.
2 Nang magkagayo'y nanalangin si Jonas sa Panginoon niyang Dios mula sa tiyan ng isda.
2 At kaniyang sinabi,
Tinawagan ko ang Panginoon dahil sa aking pagdadalamhati,
At siya'y sumagot sa akin;
Mula sa tiyan ng Sheol ako'y sumigaw,
At iyong dininig ang aking tinig.
3 Sapagka't inihagis mo ako sa kalaliman, sa gitna ng dagat,
At ang tubig ay nasa palibot ko;
(A)Ang lahat ng iyong alon at lahat ng iyong malaking alon ay umaapaw sa akin.
4 At (B)aking sinabi, Ako'y nahagis mula sa harap ng iyong mga mata;
Gayon ma'y titingin ako uli sa (C)iyong banal na templo.
5 Kinukulong (D)ako ng tubig sa palibot (E)hanggang sa kaluluwa;
Ang kalaliman ay nasa palibot ko;
Ang mga damong dagat ay pumilipit sa aking ulo.
6 Ako'y bumaba sa mga kaibaibabaan ng mga bundok;
Ang lupa sangpu ng kaniyang halang ay tumakip sa akin magpakailan man:
Gayon ma'y isinampa mo ang aking buhay (F)mula sa hukay, Oh Panginoon kong Dios.
7 Nang ang (G)aking kaluluwa ay nanglupaypay sa loob ko; naaalaala ko ang Panginoon;
(H)At ang aking dalangin ay umabot sa loob ng iyong banal na templo.
8 Ang nagsisilingap ng mga walang kabuluhang magdaraya
Binabayaan ang (I)kanilang sariling kaawaan.
9 Nguni't ako'y maghahain sa iyo ng tinig ng (J)pasasalamat;
Aking tutuparin yaong aking ipinanata.
Kaligtasa'y sa Panginoon.
10 At ang Panginoon ay nagsalita sa isda, at iniluwa si Jonas sa tuyong lupa.

2 1 [a]From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. 2 He said:
“In my distress I called(A) to the Lord,(B)
and he answered me.
From deep in the realm of the dead(C) I called for help,
and you listened to my cry.
3 You hurled me into the depths,(D)
into the very heart of the seas,
and the currents swirled about me;
all your waves(E) and breakers
swept over me.(F)
4 I said, ‘I have been banished
from your sight;(G)
yet I will look again
toward your holy temple.’(H)
5 The engulfing waters threatened me,[b]
the deep surrounded me;
seaweed was wrapped around my head.(I)
6 To the roots of the mountains(J) I sank down;
the earth beneath barred me in forever.
But you, Lord my God,
brought my life up from the pit.(K)
7 “When my life was ebbing away,
I remembered(L) you, Lord,
and my prayer(M) rose to you,
to your holy temple.(N)
8 “Those who cling to worthless idols(O)
turn away from God’s love for them.
9 But I, with shouts of grateful praise,(P)
will sacrifice(Q) to you.
What I have vowed(R) I will make good.
I will say, ‘Salvation(S) comes from the Lord.’”
10 And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

2 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.
10 And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
