14 Kaya't nanalangin sila kay Yahweh nang ganito: “Yahweh, huwag po ninyo kaming hayaang mamatay dahil sa gagawin namin sa taong ito. Huwag po ninyo kaming parusahan kung mamatay man ang taong ito. Kayo po Yahweh ang may pananagutan dito.” 15 Pagkasabi nito, binuhat nila si Jonas at inihagis sa dagat. Agad namang pumayapa ang dagat. 16 Dahil dito, nagkaroon sila ng matinding takot kay Yahweh kaya't sila'y nag-alay ng handog at nangakong maglilingkod sa kanya.

14 Then they cried out to the Lord, “Please, Lord, do not let us die for taking this man’s life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man,(A) for you, Lord, have done as you pleased.”(B) 15 Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.(C) 16 At this the men greatly feared(D) the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows(E) to him.

14 Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.
15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
16 Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord, and made vows.
