⁴² They said, ^(A)“Is not this Jesus, ^(B)the son of Joseph, whose father and mother ^(C)we know? How does he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

²² And all spoke well of him and marveled at ^(A)the gracious words that were coming from his mouth. And they said, ^(B)“Is not this ^(C)Joseph's son?”

²⁷ But ^(A)we know ^(B)where this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, ^(C)no one will know where he comes from.” ²⁸ So Jesus proclaimed, ^(D)as he taught in the temple, ^(E)“You know me, and you know where I come from. But ^(F)I have not come of my own accord. ^(G)He who sent me is true, ^(H)and him you do not know.

⁴ But ^(A)when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, ^(B)born ^(C)of woman, born ^(D)under the law,

^47 (A)The first man was from the earth, ^(B)a man of dust; ^(C)the second man is from heaven.

³ concerning his Son, ^(A)who was descended from David^{[a] (B)}according to the flesh ⁴ and ^(C)was declared to be the Son of God ^(D)in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

⁶² Then what if you were to see ^(A)the Son of Man ^(B)ascending to ^(C)where he was before?

³⁸ For ^(A)I have come down from heaven, not to do ^(B)my own will but ^(C)the will of him ^(D)who sent me.

^3 (A)Is not this ^(B)the carpenter, the son of Mary and ^(C)brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” And ^(D)they took offense at him.
