²⁶ For ^(A)as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have ^(B)life in Himself, ²⁷ and ^(C)has given Him authority to execute judgment also, ^(D)because He is the Son of Man.

²⁸ Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, ^(A)“You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and ^(B)I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me ^(C)is true, ^(D)whom you do not know.

²⁶ And he who overcomes, and keeps ^(A)My works until the end, ^(B)to him I will give power over the nations—

as I also have received from My Father;

¹⁷ And he said to him, ^(A)‘Well done, good servant; because you were ^(B)faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’

9 Then ^(B)He called His twelve disciples together and ^(C)gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
