14 After this, Jesus found him in the temple complex(A) and said to him, “See, you are well. Do not sin anymore, so that something worse doesn’t happen to you.” 15 The man went and reported to the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.(B)
Honoring the Father and the Son
16 Therefore, the Jews began persecuting(C) Jesus[a] because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.(D)

New International Version
14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning(A) or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders(B) that it was Jesus who had made him well.
The Authority of the Son
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him.
