14 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. ²There is more than enough room in my Father’s home.^[a] If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?^[b] ³When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

¹⁵“That is why they stand in front of God’s throne
    and serve him day and night in his Temple.
And he who sits on the throne
    will give them shelter.
¹⁶They will never again be hungry or thirsty;
    they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun.
¹⁷For the Lamb on the throne^[a]
    will be their Shepherd.
He will lead them to springs of life-giving water.
    And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
