John 12:13-15

¹³took branches of palms and went out to meet him, and cried, Hosanna, blessed [is] he that comes in the name of [the] Lord, the King of Israel.

¹⁴And Jesus, having found a young ass, sat upon it; as it is written,

¹⁵Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

New International Version

¹³They took palm branches^(A) and went out to meet him, shouting,

“Hosanna!^[a]”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”^[b]^(B)

“Blessed is the king of Israel!”^(C)

¹⁴Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:

¹⁵“Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion;
see, your king is coming,
seated on a donkey’s colt.”^[c]^(D)
