Jesus Hears That Lazarus Is Sick
11 Now there was a certain one being sick— Lazarus, from Bethany, of the village of Mary and Martha, her sister. 2 And it was Mary, the one having anointed[a] the Lord with perfume and having wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. 3 So the sisters sent out a message to Him, saying, “Lord, look— the one whom You love is sick”.

The Death of Lazarus
11 Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany,(A) the village of Mary and her sister Martha.(B) 2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.)(C) 3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love(D) is sick.”
