25 Bildad the Shuchi said,
2 “Dominion and fear belong to him;
he makes peace in his high places.
3 Can his armies be numbered?
On whom does his light not shine?
4 How then can humans be righteous with God?
How can those born of women be clean?
5 Why, before him even the moon lacks brightness,
and the stars themselves are not pure.
6 How much less a human, who is merely a maggot,
a mortal, who is only a worm?!”

25 Bildad från Sua svarade:
2 Gud är stor och mäktig. Han skapar frid i himlen.
3 Vem kan räkna hans skaror? Han låter sitt ljus lysa på jorden.
4 Hur kan en vanlig människa stå inför Gud och påstå sig vara rättfärdig? Hur kan någon i hela världen skryta med att vara ren?
5 Gud är så ren att inte ens månen och stjärnorna i sin glans är rena för honom.
6 Hur kan då en människa, som inte är mer än en mask i hans ögon, påstå att hon är ren?

25 Then Bildad the Shuhite(A) replied:
2 “Dominion and awe belong to God;(B)
he establishes order in the heights of heaven.(C)
3 Can his forces be numbered?
On whom does his light not rise?(D)
4 How then can a mortal be righteous before God?
How can one born of woman be pure?(E)
5 If even the moon(F) is not bright
and the stars are not pure in his eyes,(G)
6 how much less a mortal, who is but a maggot—
a human being,(H) who is only a worm!”(I)
