^9 (A)The eye that saw him will see him no more,
    nor will his place any more behold him.

^8 (A)The eye of him who sees me will behold me no more;
    while your eyes are on me, ^(B)I shall be gone.

¹⁰ he ^(A)returns no more to his house,
    nor does his ^(B)place know him anymore.

³⁶ But he passed away,^[a] and behold, ^(A)he was no more;
    though I sought him, he could not be found.

¹⁸ If he is destroyed from his ^(A)place,
    then it will deny him, saying, ‘I have never ^(B)seen you.’

³ as long as my breath is in me,
    and ^(A)the spirit of God is in my nostrils,

⁷ he will perish forever like his own ^(A)dung;
    those who have seen him will say, ^(B)‘Where is he?’
