15 Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, led into exile the remnant of people left in the city, those who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the artisans. 16 But Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, left behind some of the country’s poor as vinedressers and farmers.

17 The bronze pillars that belonged to the house of the Lord, and the wheeled carts and the bronze sea in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke into pieces; they carried away all the bronze to Babylon.

15 Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard carried into exile(A) some of the poorest people and those who remained in the city, along with the rest of the craftsmen[a] and those who had deserted(B) to the king of Babylon. 16 But Nebuzaradan left behind(C) the rest of the poorest people of the land to work the vineyards and fields.

17 The Babylonians broke up the bronze pillars,(D) the movable stands(E) and the bronze Sea(F) that were at the temple of the Lord and they carried all the bronze to Babylon.(G)
