Jeremiah 46:15-16
New King James Version
15 Why are your valiant men swept away?
They did not stand
Because the Lord drove them away.
16 He made many fall;
Yes, (A)one fell upon another.
And they said, ‘Arise!
(B)Let us go back to our own people
And to the land of our nativity
From the oppressing sword.’
Jeremiah 46:15-16
New American Standard Bible
15 Why have your (A)powerful ones been cut down?
They do not stand because the Lord has (B)thrust them away.
16 They have repeatedly (C)stumbled;
Indeed, they have fallen, one against another.
Then they said, ‘Get up, and (D)let’s go back
To our own people and our native land,
Away from the [a](E)sword of the oppressor!’
