James 1:21-23
Disciples’ Literal New Testament
21 Therefore having laid-aside all filthiness and abundance[a] of badness, receive with gentleness the implanted word being able to save your souls.
But Be Doers of The Word, Not Hearers Only
22 But be[b] doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding[c] yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man considering[d] the face of his birth[e] in a mirror.

21 Therefore, get rid of(A) all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you,(B) which can save you.
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.(C) 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror
