Zion’s Glory and New Name
62 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet,
Until her (A)righteousness goes forth like brightness,
And her (B)salvation like a torch that is burning.
2 The (C)nations will see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory;
And you will be called by a new (D)name
Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.
3 You will also be a (E)crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
And a royal headband in the hand of your God.
4 It will no longer be said to you, “[a](F)Forsaken,”
Nor to your land will it any longer be said, “[b]Desolate”;
But you will be called, “[c]My delight is in her,”
And your land, “[d](G)Married”;
For the (H)Lord delights in you,
And to Him your land will be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So your sons will marry you;
And as the [e]groom rejoices over the bride,
So your (I)God will rejoice over you.
6 On your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed (J)watchmen;
All day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who (K)profess the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;
7 And (L)give Him no rest until He establishes
And makes (M)Jerusalem an object of praise on the earth.
8 (N)The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by His mighty arm:
“I will (O)never again give your grain as food for your enemies,
Nor will [f]foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.”
9 But those who (P)harvest it will eat it and praise the Lord;
And those who gather it will drink it in the courtyards of My sanctuary.
10 Go through, (Q)go through the gates,
Clear a way [g]for the people!
(R)Build up, build up the (S)highway,
Remove the stones, lift up a (T)flag over the peoples.
11 Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the (U)end of the earth:
(V)Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your (W)salvation is coming;
(X)Behold His reward is with Him, and His compensation before Him.”
12 And they will call them, “(Y)The holy people,
The (Z)redeemed of the Lord”;
And you will be called, “Sought Out, A City (AA)Not Abandoned.”

62 For the sake of Zion I will not be silent,
and for the sake of Jerusalem I will not maintain a quiet attitude,
until her righteousness goes out like the bright light,
and her salvation burns like a torch.
2 And the nations shall see your righteousness,
and all the kings your glory,
and you will be called[a] a new name
that the mouth of Yahweh will designate.
3 And you shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of Yahweh,
and a headband of royalty in the hand of your God.
4 It shall no longer be said of you, “Forsaken,”
and it shall no longer be said of your land, “Desolation!”
but you will[b] be called “My Delight Is In Her,”
and your land, “Married,”
for Yahweh delights in you,
and your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
so shall your sons marry you,
and as is the joy of the bridegroom over the bride,
so shall your God rejoice over you.
6 I have appointed watchmen upon your walls, Jerusalem;
all day and all night they shall never be silent.
You who profess Yahweh have no rest.
7 And you must not give him rest until he establishes,
and until he makes[c] Jerusalem an object of praise[d] in the earth.
8 Yahweh has sworn by his right hand,
and by his mighty arm,[e]
“Surely I will never again give your grain as food to your enemies,[f]
and surely foreigners[g] shall not drink your new wine at which you have labored.”
9 But those who gather it shall eat it, and they shall praise Yahweh,
and those who gather it shall drink it in my holy courts.[h]
10 Pass through, pass through the gates!
Make the way clear for[i] the people!
Pile up, pile up the highway; clear it of stones![j]
Lift up an ensign over the peoples!
11 Look! Yahweh has proclaimed to the end of the earth:
Say to daughter Zion, “Look, your salvation is coming!
Look, his reward is with him,
and his reward before him.
12 And they shall call them “The Holy People,[k] The Redeemed Of Yahweh,”
and you[l] shall be called “Sought After, A City Is Not Forsaken.”

La Nuova Diodati
62 Per amore di Sion io non tacerò, e per amore di Gerusalemme, non mi darò riposo finché la sua giustizia non spunti come l'aurora e la sua salvezza come una fiaccola ardente.
2 Allora le nazioni vedranno la tua giustizia e tutti i re la tua gloria, sarai chiamata con un nome nuovo che la bocca dell'Eterno indicherà.
3 Sarai una splendida corona nella mano dell'Eterno, un diadema regale nella palma del tuo DIO.
4 Non sarai piú chiamata "Abbandonata" né la tua terra sarà piú detta "Desolazione" ma sarai chiamata "La mia delizia è in lei" e la tua terra "Maritata" perché l'Eterno trova piacere in te, e la tua terra avrà uno sposo.
5 Perciò, come un giovane sposa una vergine, i tuoi figli sposeranno te, e come lo sposo gioisce per la sposa cosí il tuo DIO gioirà per te.
6 Sulle tue mura, o Gerusalemme, ho posto delle sentinelle, che per tutto il giorno e tutta la notte non taceranno mai. Voi, che ricordate all'Eterno le sue promesse, non state in silenzio,
7 e non dategli riposo, finché non abbia ristabilito e reso Gerusalemme la lode di tutta la terra.
8 L'Eterno ha giurato per la sua destra e per il suo braccio potente: «Non darò piú il tuo frumento in cibo ai tuoi nemici, e i figli dello straniero non berranno piú il tuo mosto per il quale hai faticato.
9 Ma quelli che avranno raccolto il frumento lo mangeranno e loderanno l'Eterno, e quelli che avranno vendemmiato berranno il mosto nei cortili del mio santuario».
10 Passate, passate per le porte! Preparate la via per il popolo! Appianate, appianate la strada, rimuovete le pietre, alzate una bandiera davanti ai popoli!
11 Ecco, l'Eterno proclama fino all'estremità della terra: «Dite alla figlia di Sion: Ecco la tua salvezza, giunge; ecco, ha con sé il suo salario e la sua ricompensa lo precede.
12 Li chiameranno "Il popolo santo", "I redenti dell'Eterno" e tu sarai chiamata "Ricercata", "La città non abbandonata"».
