12 Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins;(A)
you will restore the foundations laid long ago;[a](B)
you will be called the repairer of broken walls,
the restorer of streets where people live.

13 “If you keep from desecrating[b] the Sabbath,(C)
from doing whatever you want on My holy day;
if you call the Sabbath a delight,
and the holy day of the Lord honorable;
if you honor it, not going your own ways,(D)
seeking your own pleasure, or talking too much;[c]
14 then you will delight yourself in the Lord,(E)
and I will make you ride over the heights of the land,(F)
and let you enjoy the heritage of your father Jacob.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.(G)

13 “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath(D)
    and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight(E)
    and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
    and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,(F)
14 then you will find your joy(G) in the Lord,
    and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights(H) of the land
    and to feast on the inheritance(I) of your father Jacob.”
