8 Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,(A)
who have ears but are deaf.(B)
9 All the nations gather together(C)
and the peoples assemble.
Which of their gods foretold(D) this
and proclaimed to us the former things?
Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right,
so that others may hear and say, “It is true.”
10 “You are my witnesses,(E)” declares the Lord,
“and my servant(F) whom I have chosen,
so that you may know(G) and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god(H) was formed,
nor will there be one after me.(I)

8 (A)Bring out the blind people who have eyes,
And the (B)deaf who have ears.
9 Let all the nations be gathered together,
And let the people be assembled.
(C)Who among them can declare this,
And show us former things?
Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified;
Or let them hear and say, “It is truth.”
10 “You(D) are My witnesses,” says the Lord,
(E)“And My servant whom I have chosen,
That you may know and (F)believe Me,
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
Nor shall there be after Me.

8 Breng hen naar Mij terug, blind als zij zijn en doof voor mijn roepen, ook al kunnen zij horen en zien.
9 Verzamel alle volken! Welke van hun afgoden heeft ooit dergelijke dingen voorspeld? Kunnen zij voorspellen wat er morgen gebeurt? Waar zijn de getuigen die hen zouden hebben horen spreken? Als er geen getuigen zijn, moeten zij toegeven dat alleen God de toekomst bekendmaakt.
10 En Ik heb getuigen, Israël, zegt de Here! U bent mijn getuigen en dienaren, gekozen om Mij te kennen en te geloven en te begrijpen dat alleen Ik God ben. Er bestaat geen andere God, die is er nooit geweest en zal er ook nooit zijn.
