4 Es esta, además, una dignidad que nadie puede hacer suya por propia iniciativa; sólo Dios es quien llama como llamó a Aarón. 5 Del mismo modo, no fue Cristo quien se arrogó la dignidad de sumo sacerdote, sino que fue Dios quien le dijo:
Tú eres mi Hijo,
yo te he engendrado hoy.
6 O como dice en otro lugar:
Tú eres sacerdote para siempre
según el rango de Melquisedec.

4 And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.(A)
5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory(B) of becoming a high priest.(C) But God said(D) to him,
