⁴És senki sem veszi magának e tisztességet, hanem a [kit] Isten hív el, miként Áront is.

⁵Hasonnlóképen Krisztus sem maga dicsõítette meg magát azzal, hogy fõpap lett, hanem az, a ki így szólott hozzá: Én Fiam vagy te, ma szûltelek téged.

⁶Miképen másutt is mondja: Te örökké való pap vagy, Melkisédek rendje szerint.

Hebrews 5:4-6

⁴And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.^(A)

⁵In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory^(B) of becoming a high priest.^(C) But God said^(D) to him,

“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.”^[a]^(E)

⁶And he says in another place,

“You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek.^(F)”^[b]^(G)
