Descendants of Adam
5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. On the day when God created man, He made him (A)in the likeness of God. 2 He created them (B)male and female, and He (C)blessed them and named them “mankind” on the day when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. 4 Then the days of Adam after he fathered Seth were eight hundred years, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.
6 Now Seth lived 105 years, and fathered Enosh. 7 Then Seth lived 807 years after he fathered Enosh, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.
9 Now Enosh lived ninety years, and fathered Kenan. 10 Then Enosh lived 815 years after he fathered Kenan, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.
12 Now Kenan lived seventy years, and fathered Mahalalel. 13 Then Kenan lived 840 years after he fathered Mahalalel, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.
15 Now Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and fathered Jared. 16 Then Mahalalel lived 830 years after he fathered Jared, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.
18 Now Jared lived 162 years, and fathered Enoch. 19 Then Jared lived eight hundred years after he fathered Enoch, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.
21 Now Enoch lived sixty-five years, and fathered Methuselah. 22 Then Enoch (D)walked with God three hundred years after he fathered Methuselah, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 (E)Enoch walked with God; and he was [a]not, for God (F)took him.
25 Now Methuselah lived 187 years, and fathered Lamech. 26 Then Methuselah lived 782 years after he fathered Lamech, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.
28 Now Lamech lived 182 years, and fathered a son. 29 And he named him Noah, saying, “This one will give us comfort from our work and from the hard labor of our hands caused by (G)the ground which the Lord has cursed.” 30 Then Lamech lived 595 years after he fathered Noah, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.
32 Now after Noah was (H)five hundred years old, Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

3 (C)Adamu bwe yaweza emyaka kikumi mu asatu, n’azaala omwana owoobulenzi amufaanana, mu kifaananyi kye, n’amutuuma Seezi. 4 Seezi bwe yamala okuzaalibwa, Adamu n’amala emyaka lunaana, n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 5 (D)Emyaka gyonna Adamu gye yamala gyali lwenda mu asatu, n’afa.
6 Seezi bwe yaweza emyaka kikumi mu etaano n’azaala Enosi. 7 Seezi bwe yamala okuzaala Enosi n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu musanvu n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 8 Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna egya Seezi ne giba lwenda mu kkumi n’ebiri n’alyoka afa.
9 Enosi bwe yaweza emyaka kyenda n’azaala Kenani. 10 Enosi bwe yamala okuzaala Kenani n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu kkumi n’etaano, omwo n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 11 Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna Enosi gye yamala ne giba lwenda mu etaano; n’alyoka afa.
12 Kenani bwe yaweza emyaka nsanvu n’azaala Makalaleri. 13 Kenani n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu ana, n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 14 Emyaka gyonna Kenani gye yamala ne giba lwenda mu kkumi.
15 Makalaleri bwe yaweza emyaka nkaaga mu etaano n’azaala Yaredi. 16 Bwe yamala okuzaala Yaredi n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu asatu n’azaaliramu abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 17 Ennaku zonna eza Makalaleri ne ziba emyaka lunaana mu kyenda mu etaano, n’afa.
18 (E)Yaredi bwe yaweza emyaka kikumi mu nkaaga mu ebiri n’azaala Enoka. 19 Yaredi bwe yamala okuzaala Enoka n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana, omwo n’azaaliramu abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 20 Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna Yaredi gye yamala ne giba lwenda mu nkaaga mu ebiri, n’afa.
21 Enoka bwe yaweza emyaka nkaaga mu etaano n’azaala Mesuseera. 22 (F)Enoka n’atambulira wamu ne Katonda, okumala emyaka ebikumi bisatu nga Mesuseera amaze okuzaalibwa, n’azaala abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 23 Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna egya Enoka ne giba ebikumi bisatu mu nkaaga mu etaano. 24 (G)Enoka yatambula ne Katonda, n’ataddamu kulabika, kubanga Katonda yamutwala.
Mesuseera ne Nuuwa
25 Mesuseera bwe yali nga yaakamala emyaka kikumi mu kinaana mu musanvu n’azaala Lameka. 26 Bwe yamala okuzaala Lameka n’awangaala emyaka emirala lusanvu mu kinaana mu ebiri, n’azaala abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 27 Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna Mesuseera gye yamala ne giba lwenda mu nkaaga mu mwenda; n’afa.
28 Lameka bwe yali nga wa myaka kikumi mu kinaana mu ebiri n’azaala omwana owoobulenzi 29 (H)n’amutuuma Nuuwa, ng’agamba nti, “Okuva mu ttaka Mukama lye yakolimira, ono yalituweezaweeza mu mulimu gwaffe, ne mu kutegana kw’emikono gyaffe.” 30 Lameka n’awangaala emyaka emirala bitaano mu kyenda mu etaano ng’amaze okuzaala Nuuwa, mu gyo n’azaaliramu abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala. 31 Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna Lameka gye yawangaala ne giba lusanvu mu nsanvu mu musanvu.
32 Nuuwa bwe yaweza emyaka ebikumi bitaano n’azaala Seemu, ne Kaamu ne Yafeesi.
