34 Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them in the camel's saddle and sat on them. Laban felt all about the tent, but did not find them. 35 And she said to her father, “Let not my lord be angry that I cannot (A)rise before you, for the way of women is upon me.” So he searched but did not find the household gods.

34 Now Rachel had taken the household gods(A) and put them inside her camel’s saddle(B) and was sitting on them. Laban searched(C) through everything in the tent but found nothing.

35 Rachel said to her father, “Don’t be angry, my lord, that I cannot stand up in your presence;(D) I’m having my period.(E)” So he searched but could not find the household gods.(F)
