4 Pagpalain(A) ka nawa niya, gayundin ang iyong lahi, tulad ng ginawa niya kay Abraham. Mapasaiyo nawa ang lupaing ito na iyong tinitirhan, ang lupang ipinangako ng Diyos kay Abraham.” 5 Pinapunta nga ni Isaac si Jacob sa Mesopotamia, sa kanyang Tiyo Laban na anak ni Bethuel na taga-Aram. Si Laban ay kapatid ni Rebeca na ina nina Jacob at Esau.
Nag-asawa si Esau ng Isa pa
6 Nalaman ni Esau na pinapunta ni Isaac si Jacob sa Mesopotamia upang doon mag-asawa. Nalaman din niya na pagkatapos basbasan si Jacob ay pinagbawalan itong mag-asawa ng babaing taga-Canaan.

4 May he give you and your descendants the blessing given to Abraham,(A) so that you may take possession of the land(B) where you now reside as a foreigner,(C) the land God gave to Abraham.” 5 Then Isaac sent Jacob on his way,(D) and he went to Paddan Aram,(E) to Laban son of Bethuel the Aramean,(F) the brother of Rebekah,(G) who was the mother of Jacob and Esau.
6 Now Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and had sent him to Paddan Aram to take a wife from there, and that when he blessed him he commanded him, “Do not marry a Canaanite woman,”(H)
