²⁵Two sons were born to Eber:

One was named Peleg,^[a] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.

²⁶Joktan was the father of

Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, ²⁷Hadoram, Uzal,^(A) Diklah,
