Genesis 47:25

²⁵They replied, “You have saved our lives! You are showing us favor,^[a] and we will be Pharaoh’s slaves.”^[b]

Genesis 47:25 tn Heb “we find favor in the eyes of my lord.” Some interpret this as a request, “may we find favor in the eyes of my lord.”

²⁵And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants.

²⁵“You have saved our lives,” they said. “May we find favor in the eyes of our lord;^(A) we will be in bondage to Pharaoh.”^(B)
