⁹ Abimelech summoned Abraham and said to him, “What have you done to us? What sin did I commit against you that would cause you to bring such great guilt on me and my kingdom?^[a] You have done things to me that should not be done!”^[b]

²³ Now swear to me right here in God’s name^[a] that you will not deceive me, my children, or my descendants.^[b] Show me, and the land^[c] where you are staying,^[d] the same loyalty^[e] that I have shown you.”^[f]

²⁶ “I do not know who has done this thing,” Abimelech replied. “Moreover,^[a] you did not tell me. I did not hear about it until today.”
