5 Éste es el libro de los descendientes de Adán. El día en que Dios creó al hombre, lo hizo a su semejanza. 2 Los creó hombre y mujer,(B) y los bendijo.(C) El día en que fueron creados les puso por nombre Adán.
3 Y Adán vivió ciento treinta años, y engendró un hijo a su imagen y semejanza, y le puso por nombre Set. 4 Después de engendrar a Set, Adán vivió otros ochocientos años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 5 Y todos los días que Adán vivió fueron novecientos treinta años. Entonces murió. 6 Set vivió ciento cinco años, y engendró a Enós. 7 Después de engendrar a Enós, Set vivió otros ochocientos siete años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 8 Y todos los días que Set vivió fueron novecientos doce años. Entonces murió.
9 Enós vivió noventa años, y engendró a Cainán. 10 Después de engendrar a Cainán, Enós vivió otros ochocientos quince años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 11 Y todos los días que Enós vivió fueron novecientos cinco años. Entonces murió.
12 Cainán vivió setenta años, y engendró a Malalel. 13 Después de engendrar a Malalel, Cainán vivió otros ochocientos cuarenta años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 14 Y todos los días que Cainán vivió fueron novecientos diez años. Entonces murió.
15 Malalel vivió sesenta y cinco años, y engendró a Yared. 16 Después de engendrar a Yared, Malalel vivió otros ochocientos treinta años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 17 Y todos los días que Malalel vivió fueron ochocientos noventa y cinco años. Entonces murió.
18 Yared vivió ciento sesenta y dos años, y engendró a Enoc. 19 Después de engendrar a Enoc, Yared vivió otros ochocientos años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 20 Y todos los días que Yared vivió fueron novecientos sesenta y dos años. Entonces murió.
21 Enoc vivió sesenta y cinco años, y engendró a Matusalén. 22 Después de engendrar a Matusalén, Enoc anduvo siempre con Dios durante trescientos años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 23 Y todos los días que Enoc vivió fueron trescientos sesenta y cinco años. 24 Enoc anduvo siempre con Dios,(D) y un día desapareció porque Dios se lo llevó. 25 Matusalén vivió ciento ochenta y siete años, y engendró a Lamec. 26 Después de engendrar a Lamec, Matusalén vivió otros setecientos ochenta y dos años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 27 Y todos los días que Matusalén vivió fueron novecientos sesenta y nueve años. Entonces murió.
28 Lamec vivió ciento ochenta y dos años, y engendró un hijo, 29 al que puso por nombre Noé,[a] pues dijo: «Este niño nos hará descansar de las obras que tenemos que hacer con nuestras manos, por causa de la tierra que el Señor maldijo.» 30 Después de engendrar a Noé, Lamec vivió otros quinientos noventa y cinco años, y engendró más hijos e hijas. 31 Y todos los días que Lamec vivió fueron setecientos setenta y siete años. Entonces murió.
32 Cuando Noé tenía quinientos años, engendró a Sem, a Cam y a Jafet.

5 1-2 Dios creó al ser humano a su semejanza. Creó al hombre y a la mujer, luego los bendijo y los llamó «seres humanos».[a] Aquí se encuentran anotados los nombres de sus descendientes.
3-4 Adán tuvo un hijo semejante a él en todo, al que llamó Set. También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Adán tenía ciento treinta años cuando nació Set, y después vivió ochocientos años más. 5 Así que Adán murió cuando tenía novecientos treinta años.
6 Set tenía ciento cinco años cuando nació su hijo Enós. 7 También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Enós, Set vivió ochocientos siete años más. 8 Así que Set murió cuando tenía novecientos doce años.
9 Enós tenía noventa años cuando nació su hijo Cainán. 10 También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Cainán, Enós vivió ochocientos quince años más. 11 Así que Enós murió cuando tenía novecientos cinco años.
12 Cainán tenía setenta años cuando nació su hijo Mahalalel. 13 También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Mahalalel, Cainán vivió ochocientos cuarenta años más. 14 Así que Cainán murió cuando tenía novecientos diez años.
15 Mahalalel tenía sesenta y cinco años cuando nació su hijo Jéred. 16 También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Jéred, Mahalalel vivió ochocientos treinta años más. 17 Así que Mahalalel murió cuando tenía ochocientos noventa y cinco años.
18 Jéred tenía ciento sesenta y dos años cuando nació su hijo Henoc. 19 También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Henoc, Jéred vivió ochocientos años más. 20 Así que Jéred murió cuando tenía novecientos sesenta y dos años.
21 Henoc tenía sesenta y cinco años cuando nació su hijo Matusalén. 22-24 También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Matusalén, Henoc vivió trescientos años más. Como obedecía a Dios en todo, ya no volvió a saberse de él porque Dios se lo llevó. Así que Henoc vivió trescientos sesenta y cinco años.
25 Matusalén tenía ciento ochenta y siete años cuando nació su hijo Lámec. 26 También tuvo más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Lámec, Matusalén vivió setecientos ochenta y dos años más. 27 Así que Matusalén murió cuando tenía novecientos sesenta y nueve años.
28 Lámec tenía ciento ochenta y dos años cuando tuvo un hijo, 29 al que llamó Noé porque dijo: «Dios ha maldecido la tierra, pero este niño nos dará consuelo[b] en nuestros trabajos y en nuestros dolores». 30 Lámec tuvo también más hijos y más hijas. Después de que nació Noé, Lámec vivió quinientos noventa y cinco años más. 31 Así que Lámec murió cuando tenía setecientos setenta y siete años.
32 Noé tenía quinientos años cuando nacieron sus hijos Sem, Cam y Jafet.

Cuando Dios creó al ser humano, lo hizo a semejanza de Dios mismo. 2 Los creó hombre y mujer, y los bendijo. El día que fueron creados los llamó «seres humanos».[a]
3 Cuando Adán llegó a la edad de ciento treinta años, tuvo un hijo[b] a su semejanza e imagen, y lo llamó Set. 4 Después del nacimiento de Set, Adán vivió ochocientos años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 5 De modo que Adán vivió novecientos treinta años y murió.
6 Set tenía ciento cinco años cuando tuvo a su hijo Enós. 7 Después del nacimiento de Enós, Set vivió ochocientos siete años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 8 De modo que Set vivió novecientos doce años y murió.
9 Enós tenía noventa años cuando tuvo a su hijo Cainán. 10 Después del nacimiento de Cainán, Enós vivió ochocientos quince años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 11 De modo que Enós vivió novecientos cinco años y murió.
12 Cainán tenía setenta años cuando tuvo a su hijo Malalel. 13 Después del nacimiento de Malalel, Cainán vivió ochocientos cuarenta años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 14 De modo que Cainán vivió novecientos diez años y murió.
15 Malalel tenía sesenta y cinco años cuando tuvo a su hijo Jared. 16 Después del nacimiento de Jared, Malalel vivió ochocientos treinta años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 17 De modo que Malalel vivió ochocientos noventa y cinco años y murió.
18 Jared tenía ciento sesenta y dos años cuando tuvo a su hijo Enoc. 19 Después del nacimiento de Enoc, Jared vivió ochocientos años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 20 De modo que Jared vivió novecientos sesenta y dos años y murió.
21 Enoc tenía sesenta y cinco años cuando tuvo a su hijo Matusalén. 22 Después del nacimiento de Matusalén, Enoc anduvo fielmente con Dios trescientos años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 23 En total, Enoc vivió trescientos sesenta y cinco años, 24 y como anduvo fielmente con Dios, un día desapareció porque Dios se lo llevó.
25 Matusalén tenía ciento ochenta y siete años cuando tuvo a su hijo Lamec. 26 Después del nacimiento de Lamec, Matusalén vivió setecientos ochenta y dos años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 27 De modo que Matusalén vivió novecientos sesenta y nueve años y murió.
28 Lamec tenía ciento ochenta y dos años cuando tuvo a su hijo Noé.[c] 29 Le dio ese nombre porque dijo: «Este niño nos dará descanso en nuestros trabajos y sufrimientos en esta tierra que maldijo el Señor». 30 Después del nacimiento de Noé, Lamec vivió quinientos noventa y cinco años más y tuvo otros hijos y otras hijas. 31 De modo que Lamec murió a los setecientos setenta y siete años.
32 Noé ya había cumplido quinientos años cuando tuvo a sus hijos Sem, Cam y Jafet.

5 This is the record of the generations[a] of Adam. When[b] God created Adam,[c] he made him in the likeness of God. 2 Male and female he created them. And he blessed them. And he called their name “Humankind” when[d] they were created. 3 And when Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he fathered a child in his likeness, according to his image. And he called his name Seth. 4 And the days of Adam after he fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters. 5 And all the days of Adam which he lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6 When[e] Seth had lived one hundred and five years, he fathered Enosh. 7 And after Seth had fathered Enosh he lived eight hundred and seven years, and fathered sons and daughters. 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9 When[f] Enosh lived ninety years, he fathered Kenan. 10 And after Enosh fathered Kenan he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and fathered sons and daughters. 11 And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12 When[g] Kenan had lived seventy years, he fathered Mahalalel. 13 And after Kenan had fathered Mahalalel, he lived eight hundred and forty years, and fathered sons and daughters. 14 And all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15 When[h] Mahalalel had lived sixty-five years, he fathered Jared. 16 And after Mahalalel had fathered Jared, he lived eight hundred and thirty years, and fathered sons and daughters. 17 And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.
18 When[i] Jared had lived one hundred and sixty-two years, he fathered Enoch. 19 And after Jared had fathered Enoch, he lived eight hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters. 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
21 When[j] Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he fathered Methuselah. 22 And Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah three hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters. 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God, and he was no more, for God took him.
25 When[k] Methuselah had lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, he fathered Lamech. 26 And after Methuselah had fathered Lamech, he lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and fathered sons and daughters. 27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
28 When[l] Lamech had lived one hundred and eighty-two years, he fathered a son. 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one shall relieve us[m] from our work, and from the hard labor of our hands, from the ground which Yahweh had cursed. 30 And after Lamech had fathered Noah he lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and he fathered sons and daughters. 31 All the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.
32 When[n] Noah was five hundred years old,[o] Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

From Adam to Noah
5 This is the written account(A) of Adam’s family line.(B)
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.(C) 2 He created them(D) male and female(E) and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”[a] when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image;(F) and he named him Seth.(G) 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.(H)
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father[b] of Enosh.(I) 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.(J) 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.(K) 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.(L) 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.(M) 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.(N) 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God(O) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God;(P) then he was no more, because God took him away.(Q)
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.(R) 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29 He named him Noah[c](S) and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.(T)” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old,(U) he became the father of Shem,(V) Ham and Japheth.(W)
