Prophecy to the Mountains of Israel

36 “And you, ^(A)son of man, prophesy to ^(B)the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord.

²² And ^(A)I will make them one nation in the land, on ^(B)the mountains of Israel. And ^(C)one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer ^(D)two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms.

⁴ Then he said to me, ^(A)“Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, ^(B)O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

⁸ “But you, O mountains of Israel, ^(A)shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people Israel, for ^(B)they will soon come home.

⁴ therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God to ^(A)the mountains and the hills, the ravines and the valleys, ^(B)the desolate wastes and the deserted cities, which have become ^(C)a prey and derision to the rest of the nations all around,

^14 (A)I will feed them with good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land. ^(B)There they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on rich pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel.

^28 (A)And I will make the land a desolation and a waste, and ^(B)her proud might shall come to an end, and ^(C)the mountains of Israel shall be so desolate that none will pass through.

⁴⁷ Say to the forest of the Negeb, Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God, Behold, ^(A)I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every ^(B)green tree in you and every ^(C)dry tree. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, and ^(D)all faces from south to north shall be scorched by it.

^2 (A)“Son of man, ^(B)set your face toward ^(C)the mountains of Israel, and ^(D)prophesy against them, ³ and say, ^(E)You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to ^(F)the mountains and ^(G)the hills, to ^(H)the ravines and the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, ^(I)and I will destroy your high places.
