Exodus 6:9-11

⁹And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

¹⁰And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

¹¹Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.

New International Version

⁹Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.^(A)

¹⁰Then the Lord said to Moses, ¹¹“Go, tell^(B) Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country.”^(C)

⁹So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; ^(A)but they did not heed Moses, because of ^(B)anguish^[a] of spirit and cruel bondage.

¹⁰And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ¹¹“Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the children of Israel go out of his land.”
