The Song of Moses(A)
15 Then (B)Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying:
“I will (C)sing to the Lord,
For He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider
He has thrown into the sea!
2 The Lord is my strength and (D)song,
And He has become my salvation;
He is my God, and (E)I will praise Him;
My (F)father’s God, and I (G)will exalt Him.
3 The Lord is a man of (H)war;
The Lord is His (I)name.
4 (J)Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea;
(K)His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.
5 The depths have covered them;
(L)They sank to the bottom like a stone.
6 “Your (M)right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power;
Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
7 And in the greatness of Your (N)excellence
You have overthrown those who rose against You;
You sent forth (O)Your wrath;
It (P)consumed them (Q)like stubble.
8 And (R)with the blast of Your nostrils
The waters were gathered together;
(S)The floods stood upright like a heap;
The depths [a]congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 (T)The enemy said, ‘I will pursue,
I will overtake,
I will (U)divide the spoil;
My desire shall be satisfied on them.
I will draw my sword,
My hand shall destroy them.’
10 You blew with Your wind,
The sea covered them;
They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
11 “Who(V) is like You, O Lord, among the [b]gods?
Who is like You, (W)glorious in holiness,
Fearful in (X)praises, (Y)doing wonders?
12 You stretched out Your right hand;
The earth swallowed them.
13 You in Your mercy have (Z)led forth
The people whom You have redeemed;
You have guided them in Your strength
To (AA)Your holy habitation.
14 “The (AB)people will hear and be afraid;
(AC)Sorrow[c] will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia.
15 (AD)Then (AE)the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed;
(AF)The mighty men of Moab,
Trembling will take hold of them;
(AG)All the inhabitants of Canaan will (AH)melt away.
16 (AI)Fear and dread will fall on them;
By the greatness of Your arm
They will be (AJ)as still as a stone,
Till Your people pass over, O Lord,
Till the people pass over
(AK)Whom You have purchased.
17 You will bring them in and (AL)plant them
In the (AM)mountain of Your inheritance,
In the place, O Lord, which You have made
For Your own dwelling,
The (AN)sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established.
18 “The(AO) Lord shall reign forever and ever.”
19 For the (AP)horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and (AQ)the Lord brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
The Song of Miriam(AR)
20 Then Miriam (AS)the prophetess, (AT)the sister of Aaron, (AU)took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her (AV)with timbrels and with dances. 21 And Miriam (AW)answered them:
(AX)“Sing to the Lord,
For He has triumphed gloriously!

He has thrown into the sea!”
Bitter Waters Made Sweet
22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of (AY)Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no (AZ)water. 23 Now when they came to (BA)Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called [d]Marah. 24 And the people (BB)complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. (BC)When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.
There He (BD)made a statute and an [e]ordinance for them, and there (BE)He tested them, 26 and said, (BF)“If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the (BG)diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord (BH)who heals you.”
27 (BI)Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.

3 Zoti është një luftëtar, emri i tij është Zoti.

11 Kush barazohet me ty midis perëndive, o Zot? Kush barazohet me ty, i mrekullueshëm në shenjtëri, i madhërishëm në lëvdata, o çudibërës?
12 Ti shtrive dorën e djathtë, dhe toka i gëlltiti.
13 Me mëshirën tënde, ke udhëhequr popullin që e ke shpenguar; me forcën tënde e ke çuar drejt banesës sate të shenjtë.
14 Popujt e kanë dëgjuar këtë dhe dridhen. Ankthi ka mbërthyer banorët e Filistinës.
15 Që tani krerët e Edomit e kanë humbur, të fuqishmit e Moabit i ka zënë frika, tërë banorët e Kanaanit po shkrihen.
16 Frika dhe tmerri do të bierë mbi ta. Falë forcës së krahut tënd do të bëhen të palëvizshëm si guri, deri sa populli yt, o Zot, të kalojë, deri sa të kalojë populli që ti ke blerë.
17 Ti do t’i futësh dhe do t’i vendosësh në malin e trashëgimisë sate, në vendin që ke përgatitur, o Zot, për banesën tënde, në shenjtëroren që duart e tua, o Perëndi, kanë vendosur.
18 Zoti do të mbretërojë gjithnjë, përjetë".
19 Pasi kuajt e Faraonit me qerret e tij dhe kalorësit e tij kishin hyrë në det, dhe Zoti kishte kthyer mbi ta ujërat e detit, por bijtë e Izraelit kishin ecur në mes të detit, në të thatë.
20 Atëherë profetesha Miriam, motra e Aaronit, mori në dorë dajren, dhe të gjitha gratë e ndoqën nga pas me dajre dhe me valle.

26 dhe tha: "Në qoftë se ti dëgjon me vëmëndje zërin e Zotit, Perëndisë tënd, dhe bën atë që është e drejtë në sytë e tij dhe dëgjon urdhërimet e tij dhe respekton tërë ligjet e tij, unë nuk do të jap asnjë nga ato sëmundje që u kam dhënë Egjiptasve, sepse unë jam Zoti që të shëron".

3 Domnul este un războinic;
Numele Lui este Domnul.
4 El a aruncat în mare
carele lui Faraon şi oştirea lui;
căpeteniile lui alese
s-au înecat în Marea Roşie[a].
5 Ape adânci i-au acoperit;
s-au prăbuşit în adânc ca o piatră.
6 Dreapta Ta, Doamne,
este măreaţă în putere,
dreapta Ta, Doamne,
i-a zdrobit pe duşmani.
7 Cu măreţia majestăţii Tale
Ţi-ai doborât vrăjmaşii,
Ţi-ai dezlănţuit mânia
care i-a mistuit ca pe o mirişte.
8 La suflarea nărilor Tale
apele s-au adunat,
puhoaiele de ape s-au ridicat ca un zid,
adâncurile s-au închegat în inima mării.
9 Vrăjmaşul îşi zicea:
«Îi voi urmări, îi voi ajunge din urmă.
Voi împărţi prada;
îmi voi împlini dorinţa cu privire la ei.
Îmi voi scoate sabia
şi mâna mea va pune stăpânire pe ei.»
10 Însă când Tu ai suflat cu suflarea Ta,
marea i-a acoperit;
s-au afundat ca plumbul
în apele măreţe.
11 Care dintre zei este ca Tine, Doamne?
Cine este ca Tine,
glorios în sfinţenie, temut în splendoare şi înfăptuitor de minuni?
12 Ţi-ai întins mâna dreaptă
şi pământul i-a înghiţit.
13 Prin îndurarea[b] Ta Ţi-ai condus poporul
pe care l-ai răscumpărat;
prin puterea Ta l-ai călăuzit
spre Locuinţa Ta cea sfântă[c].
14 Popoarele vor începe să tremure când vor auzi;
îi va cuprinde groaza pe locuitorii Filistiei.
15 Căpeteniile Edomului se vor teme;
un tremur îi va cuprinde pe conducătorii Moabului.
Toţi locuitorii Canaanului se vor topi de spaimă;
16 teroarea şi groaza vor cădea peste ei;
din pricina măreţiei braţului Tău,
vor amuţi ca o piatră,
până va trece poporul Tău, Doamne,
până va trece poporul pe care l-ai câştigat[d].
17 Tu îl vei aduce şi-l vei sădi
pe muntele moştenirii Tale,
în locul pe care Tu, Doamne, Ţi l-ai pregătit ca locuinţă,
lăcaşul pe care mâinile Tale, Stăpâne, l-au întemeiat.
18 Domnul va domni
în veci de veci!“
19 Când caii, carele şi călăreţii[e] lui Faraon au intrat în mare, Domnul a adus înapoi apele mării peste ei; israeliţii însă au mers prin mare ca pe pământ uscat.
20 Apoi Miriam, profetesa, sora lui Aaron, a luat o tamburină în mână şi toate femeile au ieşit după ea având tamburine în mâini şi dansând. 21 Miriam le cânta:
„Cântaţi Domnului,
căci Şi-a arătat slava;
i-a năpustit în mare
pe cal şi pe călăreţ.“
Apele de la Mara şi Elim
22 După aceea, Moise l-a luat pe Israel de lângă Marea Roşie şi au intrat împreună în pustia Şur. Au mers trei zile prin pustie, fără să găsească apă. 23 Au ajuns într-un loc unde, deşi era apă, n-au putut să o bea pentru că era amară, motiv pentru care au numit locul acela Mara[f]. 24 Poporul a cârtit împotriva lui Moise, zicând: „Ce vom bea?“ 25 El a strigat către Domnul şi Domnul i-a arătat o bucată de lemn; Moise a aruncat lemnul în apă şi apa s-a făcut dulce. Acolo le-a dat Domnul legi şi porunci şi i-a pus la încercare. 26 El le-a zis: „Dacă veţi asculta cu atenţie glasul Domnului, Dumnezeul vostru, dacă veţi face ce este drept înaintea Lui, dacă veţi lua aminte la poruncile Lui şi veţi păzi toate legile Lui, nu voi aduce peste voi nici una din bolile pe care le-am adus peste egipteni. Căci Eu sunt Domnul Care vă vindecă.“ 27 În cele din urmă au ajuns la Elim, unde se găseau douăsprezece izvoare şi şaptezeci de palmieri; ei şi-au aşezat tabăra lângă apă.

3 The Lord is a warrior;(I)
the Lord is his name.(J)

The best of Pharaoh’s officers

19 When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen[e] went into the sea,(BB) the Lord brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.(BC) 20 Then Miriam(BD) the prophet,(BE) Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels(BF) and dancing.(BG) 21 Miriam sang(BH) to them:
“Sing to the Lord,
for he is highly exalted.
Both horse and driver(BI)
he has hurled into the sea.”(BJ)
The Waters of Marah and Elim
22 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert(BK) of Shur.(BL) For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.(BM) 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.[f](BN)) 24 So the people grumbled(BO) against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”(BP)
25 Then Moses cried out(BQ) to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw(BR) it into the water, and the water became fit to drink.
There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.(BS) 26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep(BT) all his decrees,(BU) I will not bring on you any of the diseases(BV) I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals(BW) you.”
27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped(BX) there near the water.
