Pieptarul
8 Apoi au făcut pieptarul pe care l-au lucrat cu măiestrie, aşa cum au făcut şi efodul: din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit. 9 Pieptarul avea suprafaţa pătrată şi era făcut din material dublu, având lungimea şi lăţimea de o palmă[a]. 10 Au fixat pe el patru şiruri de pietre: pe primul şir – un sard, un topaz şi un smarald; 11 pe al doilea şir – un turcoaz, un safir[b] şi un diamant; 12 pe al treilea şir – un iacint, un agat şi un ametist; iar 13 pe al patrulea şir – un crisolit, un onix şi un jasp[c]. Acestea erau fixate în monturi de aur. 14 Erau douăsprezece pietre cu numele israeliţilor; pe fiecare dintre acestea era gravat, asemenea sigiliilor, numele uneia din cele douăsprezece seminţii.
15 Pentru pieptar au făcut lănţişoare din aur curat, răsucite ca nişte funii; 16 au mai făcut şi două monturi din aur şi două inele din aur, după care au fixat ambele inele la cele două margini ale pieptarului. 17 Lănţişoarele de aur le-au trecut prin cele două inele de la marginile pieptarului, 18 iar celelalte capete ale lănţişoarelor le-au prins în cele două monturi şi le-au pus peste umerarii efodului, în partea din faţă. 19 Au mai făcut două inele de aur şi le-au pus la celelalte două margini ale pieptarului, pe partea interioară, în apropierea efodului. 20 Apoi au făcut încă două inele de aur şi leau pus în partea inferioară a umerarilor efodului, la nivelul legăturilor sale, deasupra brâului efodului. 21 Au legat pieptarul cu inelele lui de inelele efodului cu o sfoară albastră, astfel încât să fie fixat peste brâul efodului, fără să se mişte de pe efod, cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise.

22 După aceea, au făcut mantia efodului din fir de culoare albastră. 23 Deschizătura mantiei era ca deschizătura unei cămăşi cu zale[d], cu un tiv ţesut de jur împrejurul ei, ca să nu se rupă. 24 Pe marginea de jos a mantiei, de jur împrejur, au făcut rodii din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit. 25 Au făcut şi nişte clopoţei din aur curat pe care i-au pus între rodii, pe marginea de jos a mantiei, de jur împrejur; 26 erau câte un clopoţel şi o rodie, un clopoţel şi o rodie pe marginea de jos a mantiei pentru slujire, de jur împrejur, aşa cum i-a poruncit Domnul lui Moise.
27 Au făcut şi tunicile ţesute din fir de in subţire pentru Aaron şi fiii săi; 28 mitra şi scufiile le-au făcut tot din fir de in subţire, izmenele – din fir de in subţire răsucit, 29 iar brâul – din fir de in subţire răsucit şi din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, lucrat la gherghef, aşa cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise.
30 Au făcut apoi şi plăcuţa de aur curat, cununa sfântă, şi au gravat pe ea, aşa cum se gravează un sigiliu: „Sfânt pentru Domnul.“ 31 Au prins-o sus, pe mitră, cu o sfoară albastră, aşa cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise.
Încheierea lucrărilor

Making the Priestly Garments
39 From the (A)blue and purple and scarlet yarns they made (B)finely woven garments,[a] for ministering in the Holy Place. They made the holy garments for Aaron, (C)as the Lord had commanded Moses.
2 (D)He made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen. 3 And they hammered out gold leaf, and he cut it into threads to work into the blue and purple and the scarlet yarns, and into the fine twined linen, in skilled design. 4 They made for the ephod attaching shoulder pieces, joined to it at its two edges. 5 And the skillfully woven band on it was of one piece with it and made like it, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6 They made the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold filigree, and engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 7 And he set them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod to be stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
8 (E)He made the breastpiece, in skilled work, in the style of the ephod, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen. 9 It was square. They made the breastpiece doubled, a span[b] its length and a span its breadth when doubled. 10 And they set in it four rows of stones. A row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle was the first row; 11 and the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12 and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold filigree. 14 There were twelve stones with their names according to the names of the sons of Israel. They were like signets, each engraved with its name, for the twelve tribes. 15 And they made on the breastpiece twisted chains like cords, of pure gold. 16 And they made two settings of gold filigree and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two edges of the breastpiece. 17 And they put the two cords of gold in the two rings at the edges of the breastpiece. 18 They attached the two ends of the two cords to the two settings of filigree. Thus they attached it in front to the shoulder pieces of the ephod. 19 Then they made two rings of gold, and put them at the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inside edge next to the ephod. 20 And they made two rings of gold, and attached them in front to the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, at its seam above the skillfully woven band of the ephod. 21 And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, so that it should lie on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece should not come loose from the ephod, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 (F)He also made the robe of the ephod woven all of blue, 23 and the opening of the robe in it was like the opening in a garment, with a binding around the opening, so that it might not tear. 24 On the hem of the robe they made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. 25 They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around the hem of the robe, between the pomegranates— 26 a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate around the hem of the robe for ministering, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
27 (G)They also made the coats, woven of fine (H)linen, for Aaron and his sons, 28 and the (I)turban of fine linen, and the caps of fine linen, and the linen undergarments of fine twined linen, 29 and the sash of fine twined linen and of blue and purple and scarlet yarns, embroidered with needlework, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
30 (J)They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription, like the engraving of a signet, “Holy to the Lord.” 31 And they tied to it a cord of blue to fasten it on the turban above, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
32 Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished, and the people of Israel did (K)according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did. 33 Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its utensils, its hooks, its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 34 the covering of tanned rams' skins and goatskins, and the (L)veil of the screen; 35 the ark of the testimony with its poles and the mercy seat; 36 the table with all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; 37 (M)the lampstand of pure gold and its lamps with the lamps set and all its utensils, and the oil for the light; 38 (N)the golden altar, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and (O)the screen for the entrance of the tent; 39 the bronze altar, and its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils; the basin and its stand; 40 (P)the hangings of the court, its pillars, and its bases, and the (Q)screen for the gate of the court, its (R)cords, and its pegs; and all the utensils for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 41 the finely worked garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for their service as priests. 42 (S)According to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so the people of Israel had done all the work. 43 And Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it; as the Lord had commanded, so had they done it. Then Moses (T)blessed them.

2 Hij weefde het priesterschort van goud, blauw, paars en rood draad en fijn linnen. 3 Hij sneed draden van heel dun geslagen platen goud. Die draden weefde hij mee met het blauw, paars en rood en het fijne linnen. Het werd een prachtig kunstwerk. 4 Ze maakten de schouderbanden waarmee het schort moest worden vastgemaakt. Die zaten vast aan de voorkant en de achterkant van het priesterschort. 5 De gordel die bedoeld was om het priesterschort om te binden, werd vastgemaakt aan het priesterschort en was op dezelfde manier gemaakt: van goud, blauw, paars en rood draad en fijn linnen – zoals de Heer het Mozes had bevolen.
6 Ze bewerkten de twee sardonyx-stenen en sneden er de namen van de zonen van Israël in. 7 Ze zetten de stenen met gouden zettingen vast op de schouderbanden van het priesterschort. 8 Hij maakte de borsttas, een prachtig kunstwerk. 15 Ze maakten op de borsttas gevlochten kettinkjes van zuiver goud. 16 Ze maakten twee gouden bevestigingsplaatjes en twee gouden ringen en zetten de twee ringen aan de twee uiteinden van de borsttas. 17 Ze maakten de twee gevlochten gouden kettinkjes vast aan de twee ringen aan de bovenste twee hoeken van de borsttas. 18 De andere kant van de twee gevlochten kettinkjes maakten ze vast aan de twee gouden bevestigingsplaatjes op de voorkant van de schouderbanden van het priesterschort. 19 Ze maakten twee gouden ringen en zetten ze aan de onderste twee hoeken van de borsttas, op de binnenrand, aan de kant van het priesterschort. 20 Ook maakten ze twee gouden ringen en zetten die vast op de twee schouderbanden van het priesterschort, onderaan de schouderbanden, aan de voorkant, dicht bij de plaats waar de schouderbanden aan het schort vastzitten. Dus vlak boven de gordel van het priesterschort. 21 Ze maakten de ringen op de onderste twee hoeken van de borsttas met een blauwe draad vast aan de ringen van het priesterschort. Zo zat de borsttas vast aan de gordel van het priesterschort. Dan kon hij niet van het priesterschort afschuiven – zoals de Heer het Mozes had bevolen.
22 Hij maakte het bovenkleed waarover het priesterschort moest worden gedragen, helemaal van blauwe stof. 23 In het midden zat een halsopening. Rondom die opening was een stevige geweven rand, zodat de halsopening niet zou kunnen scheuren. 24 Ze maakten langs de onderrand van het bovenkleed granaatappeltjes van blauwe, paarse en rode stof. 25 Ze maakten belletjes van zuiver goud en zetten die belletjes vast tussen de granaatappeltjes aan de onderrand van het bovenkleed. 26 Telkens om en om een gouden belletje en een granaatappeltje, helemaal rondom langs de onderrand van het bovenkleed voor de dienst – zoals de Heer het Mozes had bevolen.
27 Ze maakten voor Aäron en zijn zonen geweven onderkleren van fijn linnen. 28 Ook maakten ze de tulband, de prachtige mutsen en de broeken van fijn linnen, en de gordel van blauw, paars en rood draad en fijn linnen. 29 De gordel werd een kleurig borduurwerk – zoals de Heer het Mozes had bevolen.
30 Ze maakten van zuiver goud een plaat, de heilige diadeem. Daarin sneden ze de tekst: 'Heilig voor de Heer'. 31 Ze maakten hem met een blauw koordje aan de tulband vast – zoals de Heer het Mozes had bevolen.
Alles is gemaakt
32 Toen was al het werk voor de tent van ontmoeting en de omheining af. De Israëlieten hadden alles precies zó gemaakt als de Heer het Mozes had bevolen. 33 Ze brachten alles naar Mozes: de tent met alle dingen die erbij hoorden, de haakjes, de planken, de dwarsbalken, 34 de palen met de voetstukken, het dekkleed van roodgeverfde schapenvachten, het dekkleed van dun leer, het gordijn dat vóór de kist van het verbond kwam te hangen, 35 de kist met de platte stenen van het verbond van God, de draagstokken en het vergevings-deksel, 36 de tafel met alle dingen die erbij hoorden, de heilige broden, 37 de gouden kandelaar, de lampen voor de kandelaar en alle dingen die erbij hoorden, de lamp-olie, 38 het gouden altaar, de zalf-olie, het mengsel voor het wierook-offer, het gordijn voor de ingang van de tent, 39 het koperen altaar met het rooster dat daarbij hoorde, de draagstokken en alles wat bij het altaar hoorde, de waskom met het voetstuk, 40 de doeken van de omheining, de palen en de voetstukken van de palen, het gordijn voor de ingang van de omheining, de touwen en de pinnen, alle dingen voor de dienst van de tent van ontmoeting, 41 de kleren voor de dienst in het heiligdom,[a] de heilige kleren voor de priester Aäron en de kleren voor zijn zonen om priesters voor de Heer te kunnen zijn. 42 Ze hadden alles precies gemaakt zoals de Heer het Mozes had bevolen. 43 Mozes bekeek alles wat ze hadden gemaakt en zag dat alles precies was zoals de Heer het had bevolen.
