4 Moses then wrote down all the words of the Lord and, rising early in the morning, he built at the foot of the mountain an altar and twelve sacred stones[a] for the twelve tribes of Israel. 5 (A)Then, having sent young men of the Israelites to offer burnt offerings and sacrifice young bulls as communion offerings to the Lord, 6 Moses took half of the blood and put it in large bowls; the other half he splashed on the altar. 7 Taking the book of the covenant, he read it aloud to the people, who answered, “All that the Lord has said, we will hear and do.” 8 Then he took the blood and splashed it on the people, saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according to all these words.”

New International Version
4 Moses then wrote(A) down everything the Lord had said.
He got up early the next morning and built an altar(B) at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars(C) representing the twelve tribes of Israel. 5 Then he sent young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings(D) and sacrificed young bulls as fellowship offerings(E) to the Lord. 6 Moses(F) took half of the blood(G) and put it in bowls, and the other half he splashed(H) against the altar. 7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant(I) and read it to the people. They responded, “We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.”(J)
8 Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people(K) and said, “This is the blood of the covenant(L) that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”
