2 Если вора застигнут при взломе и изобьют так, что он умрёт, то тот, кто его бил, не виноват в убийстве. 3 Но если это случится после восхода солнца, тогда он виноват. Вор должен возместить украденное. Если у него ничего нет, то пусть его продадут в рабство, чтобы возместить украденное.

2 “If a thief is caught breaking in(A) at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed;(B) 3 but if it happens after sunrise, the defender is guilty of bloodshed.
“Anyone who steals must certainly make restitution,(C) but if they have nothing, they must be sold(D) to pay for their theft.
