2 La siguiente es la lista de la gente de la provincia que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, había llevado cautiva a Babilonia, y a la que se le permitió regresar a Jerusalén y a Judá. Cada uno volvió a su propia población 2 en compañía de Zorobabel, Jesúa, Nehemías, Seraías, Relaías, Mardoqueo, Bilsán, Mispar, Bigvay, Rejún y Baná.

61 De entre los sacerdotes, los siguientes tampoco pudieron demostrar su ascendencia israelita: los descendientes de Jabaías, Cos y Barzilay (este último se casó con una de las hijas de un galaadita llamado Barzilay, del cual tomó su nombre). 62 Estos buscaron sus registros genealógicos, pero, como no los encontraron, fueron excluidos del sacerdocio. 63 A ellos el gobernador les prohibió comer de los alimentos sagrados hasta que un sacerdote decidiera su suerte por medio del urim y el tumim.
64 El número total de los miembros de la asamblea era de cuarenta y dos mil trescientas sesenta personas, 65 sin contar esclavos y esclavas, que sumaban siete mil trescientos treinta y siete; y tenían doscientos cantores y cantoras. 66 Tenían además setecientos treinta y seis caballos, doscientas cuarenta y cinco mulas, 67 cuatrocientos treinta y cinco camellos y seis mil setecientos veinte burros.
68 Cuando llegaron al templo del Señor en Jerusalén, algunos jefes de familia dieron donativos para que se reconstruyera el templo de Dios en el mismo sitio. 69 De acuerdo con sus capacidades económicas, dieron para la obra de reconstrucción cuatrocientos ochenta y ocho kilos[a] de oro, dos mil setecientos cincuenta kilos[b] de plata y cien túnicas sacerdotales.

62 These searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood(Z) as unclean. 63 The governor ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food(AA) until there was a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.(AB)
64 The whole company numbered 42,360, 65 besides their 7,337 male and female slaves; and they also had 200 male and female singers.(AC) 66 They had 736 horses,(AD) 245 mules, 67 435 camels and 6,720 donkeys.
68 When they arrived at the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, some of the heads of the families(AE) gave freewill offerings toward the rebuilding of the house of God on its site. 69 According to their ability they gave to the treasury for this work 61,000 darics[b] of gold, 5,000 minas[c] of silver and 100 priestly garments.
70 The priests, the Levites, the musicians, the gatekeepers and the temple servants settled in their own towns, along with some of the other people, and the rest of the Israelites settled in their towns.(AF)

61 and of the family of the priests: the family of Habaiah, Hakkoz, and Barzillai (who had married one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by their name).
62 They looked for their entries in the genealogical records, but they were not found there, so they were excluded from the priesthood as unclean. 63 The governor ordered them not to eat of the most holy food until a priest arose who could consult Urim and Thummim.

64 The whole assembly together totaled 42,360, 65 not including their 7,337 male and female servants; they also had 200 male and female singers, 66 736 horses, 245 mules, 67 435 camels, and 6,720 donkeys.
Arrival in Jerusalem
68 When they arrived at the Lord’s house in Jerusalem, some of the heads of the families brought spontaneous gifts for the rebuilding of God’s house on its site. 69 According to their means, they gave to the building fund 61,000 drachmen of gold, 5,000 manehs of silver, and 100 priestly robes.
70 The priests, the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the temple servants settled in their own towns, and all Israel in their towns.
