¹⁵ “I came down from the burning mountain, holding in my hands the two tablets inscribed with the laws of God. ¹⁶ There below me I could see the calf you had made in your terrible sin against the Lord your God. How quickly you turned away from him! ¹⁷ I lifted the tablets high above my head and dashed them to the ground! I smashed them before your eyes!
