³ This release from debt, however, applies only to your fellow Israelites—not to the foreigners living among you.

²⁰ You may charge interest to foreigners, but you may not charge interest to Israelites, so that the Lord your God may bless you in everything you do in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

¹⁰ Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

⁶ But instead, one believer^[a] sues another—right in front of unbelievers!

⁷ Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? Why not let yourselves be cheated?

³⁵ A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever.

²⁵ “Yes, he does,” Peter replied. Then he went into the house.
